Our Story

KWNS 104.7 was started back in 1989 with Lottie and Richard Foster.. Richard developed a passion for radio while serving in the Navy. After years of being a dairy man, Richard got a phone call from from the President of First National Bank, leading to the purchase of KWNS 104.7. Richard passed away in 2004 leaving his legacy to his wife Lottie. With the help of our long time DJ Danny Ray, Richard's Radio Ministry continued. In 2022 Lottie has stepped back and is now passing on the torch to her Granddaughter Kim who now has her broadcasting degree and is now managing the station.

Our format now includes Contemporary Christian hits to inspire all listeners.
